Security Badge Process
RED STRIPED BADGE – Terminal Building/Public Area Access
If obtaining an Airport Security Badge for Terminal Building Access, persons must:
First, obtain and complete Form D and the Privacy Act Notice. The employment must be verified and the form signed by the tenant’s “Authorized Representative”. If there are gaps of employment greater than 12 months or periods of self-employment, the Twelve Month Employment Verification Statement, will need to be completed and notarized. Two forms of government issued ID, one which must have a photo, must be presented when submitting the application forms. Please reference the Identity and Employment Verification Chart to ensure proper ID is presented.
If the applicant is a Rental Car employee, the applicant must submit the Rental Car Lot Security Operations along with Form D and the Privacy Act Notice.
Once forms are completed and signed, please submit them to the Airport Badging Office for processing. All applications will be submitted to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) so that they may conduct a Security Threat Assessment (STA). The processing time for this requirement will take anywhere from three days to two weeks.
Once the STA results have been returned to the Airport Badging Office, the Operations Assistant will call the applicant to notify that they are approved to obtain their Airport Security Identification Badge.
Please reference the Badge Fees to see costs associated with Airport Security Badges. In addition, an $11.00 fee for the Security Threat Assessment processing will be assessed to all Airport ID badges issued.
