</notextile>

Des Moines International Airport (DSM) officials have been notified that starting June 9, Delta Airlines will add an additional daily flight to Atlanta (ATL). The new flight will depart DSM at 3:30 p.m. and arrive at ATL at 6:30 p.m. (all times are local). The new flight will be aboard a 65-seat regional jet equipped with nine first-class seats.

On the same date, Delta will add an additional daily flight to its Detroit (DTW) hub. That will be on a 50-seat regional jet that leaves DSM at 11:45 a.m. and arrives at DTW at 2:36 p.m.

These new flights represent an additional 805 seats departing DSM per week. That amounts to more options for central Iowa air travelers. “This additional service is evidence of Delta’s growing confidence in the Des Moines market,” stated Don Smithey, Aviation Director for the Des Moines International Airport.

Delta Airlines has also announced that they will begin non-stop service to Cincinnati for the summer of 2011.

From June 9 through August 15, central Iowans can fly a daily non-stop from Des Moines to Cincinnati. The flight will depart Des Moines at 3:15 p.m. and arrive in Cincinnati at 5:55 p.m. (local times). The service will be on a 50-seat regional jet that will operate seven days per week.

“Hopefully, our passengers’ response to the added service will persuade Delta to retain the flight permanently,” stated Don Smithey, Aviation Director.

</notextile>

Des Moines International Airport (DSM) officials are pleased to announce that United Airlines has committed to fly non-stop from DSM to Newark, NJ (EWR). The new non-stop service will begin May 3, 2011.

United will fly the daily service aboard a 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft. The flight will depart DSM each day at 7:15 am and arrive at EWR at 11:35 am. The return flight will leave EWR at 7:00 pm and arrive at DSM at 9:15 pm. (All times are local times.)

Air Service and Public Relations Manager Roy Criss explains, “It is exciting to recapture service to the New York market so quickly. Many people are not aware that Manhattan is so easily accessible from EWR by train. Newark, though located in New Jersey, is really a New York airport.”
